  • Are you still accepting and delivering cards?
    Yes, we accept and deliver cards year-round. Please continue to check our Create Cards page on our website and our social sites for updates.
  • What is your EIN number?
  • Do we have to sign up to make cards?
    If you only want to make cards, visit our Create Cards page for instructions, and have fun! Many groups/corporations will add a donation component to their card-making events to help cover packaging and shipping fees. If you would like to add a donation component or have us create a custom giving page for your organization, please email us at
  • Are you able to sign off on volunteer hours?
    Due to the high requests, we do not sign off on volunteer hours for making cards. Alternatively, below are some ways other have fulfilled their volunteer hour needs with Cardz For Kidz. For those who live near the Chicagoland area, we host card counting events, and this is an easy way for us to verify service hours and sign off on them onsite. Become a Cardz For Kidz intern helping behind the scenes on projects like new partner outreach, social, newsletter, etc. We're currently averaging shipping over 13,000 cards a month worldwide. Hence, fundraising is essential to help us with shipping costs and supplies. Check out our Student Program. It's an easy way to get your school to approve your volunteer hours by being recognized as a club on campus with the oversight of a parent or teacher. We have instructions on how to do this on the website.   • Do you have any partnerships in Ukraine?
    No, we currently do not have any partnerships in Ukraine.
  • Do you currently accept bookmarks?
    Yes! We're interested in bookmarks, and the guidelines are the same as the cards. Both bookmarks and cards should be handmade, cardstock or laminated, signed with your first name and city, designed for people of all ages, something they can cherish year-round, with no size requirements, etc.
  • What type of places are you sending the cards to?
    Your wonderful cards are being sent to hospitals, foster homes, senior living homes, schools, and direct to patients' homes across the globe! Visit our Card Destinations page for me details.
  • How else can I get involved?

  • Do you accept digital or store-bought cards?
    No - we only accept handmade cards.
  • Do we need to include envelopes with our cards?
    No, you do not need to include envelopes for your cards.
  • Are there any card/bookmark design rules?
    Get as creative as you'd like! Some people like to create abstract pieces, trace, or even cut out pictures from magazines Please visit our Create Cards page for more details.
  • Do you accept holiday-specific cards?
    Many of the people we serve have lasting conditions. So we encourage you to create general uplifting cards that can be cherished year round.
  • Do you only need cards in English?
    We need cards in many different languages! For other languages besides English, please label the bag or attach a note with the language on the cards. Please visit the Create Cards page for more details.

  • Will I be notified when my cards are received?
    Be sure to include your email address with your cards. Once your cards have been counted and sorted, you will receive an automated email acknowledging receipt of your cards and donations. If you also include your social handles, we will acknowledge receipt of your cards via our social pages once they have been sorted and counted.   • Should I send my cards in individual plastic bags?
    Please place your cards in one large, sealable zip lock bag before placing in shipping envelope or box. This helps to keep the cards safe during the shipping process. Check out our Create Cards page for more details.
